Culinary Achievement for Hartwell House
Hartwell House, the magnificent hotel and Spa in Aylesbury Vale, is proud and delighted to announce that their Sous Chef, Peter Liese, has achieved the Annual Award for Excellence at the annual Culinary Awards ceremony at Claridges Hotel in July this year.
Brian Turner CBE, President of the Academy, and one of the judges, said ‘ This is the Academy’s most important education initiative and these awards recognise the outstanding practical and theoretical knowledge of Britain’s best young chefs, pastry chefs and waiters’.
Peter Liese hails from Johannesburgh, South Africa and has been at Hartwell House for 18 months. Previously, he was at Ashdown Park.
Hartwell House stands in 90 acres of landscaped parkland. The impressive house has three spectacular Dining Rooms overlooking the gardens, and is well known for providing superb modern English food with a few light continental touches. The wine list has been carefully selected and includes something to suit everyone’s taste and pocket.
